Homework Due Thursday, May 5

AP LANG and COMP: Recover!  You'll get scored student samples for both the Lincoln address and today's synthesis prompt against which to compare your work.  Then you'll be able to submit which you think is your stronger piece of writing.

ENGLISH 9: Please read closely the first half of Antony's funeral speech, 3.1.82-117.  The key to Brutus's reason for killing Caesar was Caesar's ambition.  What does Antony do to suggest to the crowd that Caesar was not ambitious?  (Think about what the opposites of ambitious might be: humble, content, generous).

CRIME & DETECTIVE FICTION: If you haven't done so yet, use the "Practice Upload" assignment on TurnItIn to check what you have so far for citation and plagiarism problems.  The Originality Report will find places in your paper that match exactly sources that appear elsewhere.  You need to make sure that you've set up those matched phrases and sentences as quotations and have given proper credit through citation.
I'll be available after school Thursday until 5:15 (room 202) if you need any help with your paper.
