Finals, Wrap-Up, and Summer Info

AP LANG and COMP: Check your DeMatha email for instructions on enrolling in TurnItIn.  You'll need to submit your final paper (college personal statement) to TurnItIn by Thursday, June 2, by 10:45 a.m.  Be sure to look at the samples and the tips I've given you.  The rubric I'll use to grade them is here.

For those needing an extra 4th Quarter assignment to boost your grade, check out the optional Persepolis-Whale Rider response.  You'll need to put this in my faculty room mailbox by Thursday, June 2.

I hope you go beyond the required summer reading and follow some of your own reading interests.  I'll be sending you an invitation to connect with other DeMatha readers on Goodreads shortly.

ENGLISH 9: Check on Veracross for any missing 4th Quarter assignments and take care of those as soon as possible.  If you have any Rec Reading books checked out to you that have not been returned, I'm afraid the school will have to bill you to replace them.  Please check and re-check your home and locker for missing books!

The blue review sheet I passed out in class had several errors on the list of vocabulary words.  Here is the revised list of vocab words on the final exam, all of which are also available to study here on Quizlet.

Remember to do your required summer reading, but please also keep up the Rec Reading in your interests.  Check into the StagsRead group on Goodreads to see what some of your classmates and I are reading over the summer.
